Yes! Cassian does have kids. Now, my headcanon is that Cassian, Astarion and Halsin adopted Yenna and she went with Halsin so that Cassian and Astarion can travel. Eventually though they’d have kids with Astarion and Halsin. With Astarion, it was probably more of an accident, but certainly not unwelcome. And with Halsin, a bit later down the road, it was for sure planned. I decided to make them in game and look as similar as I could to both parents while also not having many face options so here we go!

Here is Cassian and Astarion’s daughter, Soleil Ancunin (I wanted to try and find a more elvish name that fit but oh well). She’s a rogue like her father and has a bit of a mischievous streak like both Cassian and Astarion honestly. Unlike Astarion, she becomes a thief over arcane trickster. Chaotic Good Alignment. She steals to help others and prefers stealth and a bow over daggers. She is a dhampir

I’ve had this idea for when Halsin and Cassian have a child, Halsin would suggest naming their son after Eaerin due to knowing how much he meant to Cassian before. The name is important to Cassian and Halsin just thinks it would be a fitting one. So here’s Eaerin Silverbough. He’s a Circle of Spores Druid with a Neutral Good Alignment. He has a fascination with the Underdark and has most certainly befriended a Myconid Colony

When a new black-haired blue-eyed person appeared in the manor, one could easily be forgiven for thinking that Bruce’s adoption problem had struck again. So color many a batkid surprised that no, this kid isn’t a new sibling, no he didn’t get grabbed from the street, and actually he’s here for Alfred. Apparently Alfred never found it important to mentioned that he has a husband- that the kid kind of implies isn’t human what with the casual way he says he himself is half human- and that this kid is apparently their child. For once it’s Bruce’s turn to come home to a surprise sibling. 

Danny on the other hand just learned that his Clockpa has a semi-mortal partner who has offered to take him in, (in another dimension even! And there’s aliens!!) while the ancient takes care of some stuff at home. And yeah it’s in a rich-manor but Sam has proved that not all rich people are evil, and based off of Mr Pennyworth’s stories the Waynes weren’t bad either. Though based off of the others’ reactions perhaps he should wait to mention that there wasn’t one new family member but three…

And I just wanted to say that I support this idea. Not only because I think Terzo being able to play piano is adorable, but because it would make the Kazoo of Destiny even funnier in my eyes.

Dude is a classically-trained concert pianist, would make so many of his peers swoon by doing that dumb “Oh is that a piano? Don’t mind if I do~” bit and playing a concerto off the cuff. He could easily wriggle in a piano bit for himself during rituals and acoustic sessions — and the Clergy would’ve been on board for once because they know the power that a confident, handsome man with strong fingers can wield on an already horny audience.

idk it sounds reasonable to me for a teenager to run away bc they didn't want to eat their veggies!

one hopes that by the later stages of childhood a parent will have figured out which veggies and preparation styles work for the kid, and the kid will have resigned themself to what they do and don't have to eat according to their parents, and it's all settled into an equilibrium instead of a daily fight. and hopefully as a teen your palette is expanding and you're even willing to eat more veggies then you did as a child.

however, if the kid is extra picky and stubborn, and the parent is extra determined to make sure they eat a good variety (or just eat whatever the parent prepared no matter what it is), it could absolutely continue to be a regularly-repeated fight. and if something is a continued point of contention throughout childhood then it absolutely makes sense for a teen to go FUCK this, i am nearly an ADULT i am done being told to eat my veggies i am gonna prove my independence and make them realize i don't have to just sit there and let them boss me around!!

like, the childishness of the fight is exactly why a teen would run away about it.

we all know and love "because someone fucking has to" and "you deserve to be happy, and I hope that you can find that here at camp" and for good reason- but can I share the scene that encapsulates the show for me? what i think is its thesis statement of sorts. I have so many thought on this so bare with me but:

It's from "Cameron Campbell the Camp Campbell Camper" - at the very end when David and Cameron are having their confrontation and Cameron is raving about David chosing a bunch of "bratty children" over him. and David says "That's the job. You really don't get that do you?"

Cameron thinks that because David is his employee, and more then that views Cameron as a father figure - he "owes" him blind obedience. And at that point, Cameron viewed all of the kids at camp as walking representations of their parent's wallets. Cameron doesn't see anyone - but especially not children - as people worthy of respect. Children are just devices through which he makes money. That philosophy includes and has always included David, who's literally been making Cameron money for over a decade as both camper and councilor.

David on the other hand sees things for what they are. It doesn't matter that Max is a troublemaker or that Nurf creates problems or that none of the campers listen to him - at the end of the day they are human beings deserving of care and happiness. David doesn't see children as extensions of their parents, meant to be entirely obedient to adults. Instead he sees them as young individuals who are learning to be alive for the first time and are going through all the trial and error of being a Person. And children being infuriating and disobedient is both understandable and comes with the territory of being an educator/caretaker/parent. Children are "bratty" because so far that's the only way they know how to demand for needs that aren't being met (think: "you have every right to be angry" convo). And THAT'S THE JOB. the job is teaching them how to grow, and communicate, and to make sure they're safe all the while.

as I see it, one of the running themes in the show is "even flawed people deserve a chance at community/redemption/joy." and that's something that David full-heartedly believes. I think he pities Cameron in that moment because he recognizes that Cameron both 1) doesn't see the source of genuine joy David finds in his job, and 2) is incapable of extending grace to kids learning how to be better people. and by extension is incapable of extending that grace to anyone else -including himself. (A realization Cameron later has in "Candy Kingpin") David pities him because Cameron can't see the humanity in children, and also cannot recognize that humanity within himself.

Another thing I also love about this scene is Max's reaction. When Max is upset, he defaults to anger. That's where what he's most comfortable with expressing, that's the feeling most familiar to him. So when he asks David "You seriously feel sorry for this piece of shit? How are you not pissed?" It comes from such a genuine place of concern and sense of injustice. Because in that scene, it wasn't enough that Max outsmarted Cameron. And it wasn't enough that the Millers were already aware of his plans. Max specifically seeks out a reaction from David. He wants - or at the very least expected - David to be angry. This can be read so many ways but the way I see it - this is Max's way of relating to someone, or hoping to. Max often doesn't understand David's POV, but anger is a place where he can meet him at. MAX is angry at Cameron, he can't fathom someone feeling any type of sympathy for him- let alone pity. It almost comes across like Max is angry FOR David in this scene. Because at the end of day, despite all their differences, Max still won't stand for David being unfairly screwed over. But let me know if you see it differently :)

To make a long story short, what I perceive as the "thesis statement" of the show (or at least one of the things I took away from it) is this critique on how parents view children as an extension of themselves rather than their own people. which enables parents to mistreat their children because they have the "right" to - and the antitheses to that being genuine communication and recognizing that you as an adult still have things to learn. even if it's from kids. and it's your job to both listen to and protect them.

(Also there is an AU where these two are knights along with Paul and Evelyn while Brent/Caspian/Atticus are princes. Chris is basically Caspian's personal guard while Right just runs around trying to do everything to stay busy even when not on duty which stresses Chris out. i love how unfatherly crowley and aziraphale both are when it comes down to it. sure aziraphale is more than willing to give the young people in his life help and advice and be their friend but he and crowley spent six years (eleven in the book) practically raising a kid (you just know his parents weren't around that often) and by the end they didn't even like him. crowley even suggested they just fucking kill him. he turned three kids into lizards for annoying him right after he destroyed their house. like it was that or kill them obviously but he did NOT hesitate with the newts. that's so funny to me. they're just inherently disinclined to parenthood. we need more characters like them actually

also now that last bit is up, i'll say it. i think asmodeus should take time out of his very busy day to try to zerxus-ify amaris. a beleaguered, confused now-widower who his everpatient sister loves so very much? who got to raise his sanctimonious brother from childhood, see him bright and unaware in a way none of them have been since the dawn of time? unacceptable. if you think about it, asmodeus has to torment him. if only to draw a line in the sand. mortals can't start thinking they can get away with that sort of behavior (loving the people he loves when he wasn't there).

Some people might think when I say, "I think Exandroth could be fixed if you give her a stim toy" it's just for the bit but I do genuinely believe that Exandroth wasn't being stimulated enough and if he was given healthy ways to vent all of that energy it would be a little less fucked up. As far as we are aware Exandroth has no social life and no concept of hobbies, like why are we surprised that Exandroth acted out the way it did being so restless and agitated? There is such a high probability that if Exandroth was given a fidget spinner it'd become fixated on it for the bit- you can't tell me I'm wrong in this regard.

It does most cruel things for its own entertainment thus implying if you had given Exandroth an alternate form of entertainment there is a chance Exandroth would become fixated on that instead. Exandroth is like me in the way I think you could distract us both with one of those children's toys where its a fake phone or laptop or something and you have little games you can play for counting and other skills and you can press a button to play a song.

If you have watched Apotheosis I know there are those of you who also feel this in your hearts. You get it.
